Frostgrave Game 2 AAR - The Worm Hunts

Alex and I had a good old slog-fest in game 2 of the campaign last night, pitting my summoner against his elementalist.
We played The Worm Hunts, which turned out to be a fun little scenario very much in the vein of Tremors.
Alex's opening move was to use telekinesis on a treasure marker to stack the board in his favor and I later had to get pretty aggressive to recover from it.
That on top of my dice being completely broken all game made it a really challenging game, but we had a good time.

The elementalist's opening move, placing him very nicely to grab two tokens in short order.

The B team fight: My apprentice, imp, ranger and thief against Alex's apprentice, treasure hunter and thug.  This whole face-off fell apart when a wandering wraith showed up behind Alex's team.  I was able to make off with a treasure while they were distracted and thankfully didn't have to deal with the undead horror.

There was a huge scrap going on near the telekinetic treasure.  I threw a knight into the fray early on to slow down all the elven minions that were trying to make off with the treasure.  Even though he was mostly unsupported for a turn he managed to hold the line until I could toss a few more models into the mix.  The hooded thief in the background there managed to crit and kill a knight, so big win there.  Above-right my new apothecary is healing Rydia before the wizard decides to go all Leroy Jenkins on things.

The elementalist also joined in on the treasure pile party.  It was pretty funny to see how many figures ended up piling in on this and it looked like a Benny Hill skit toward the end.

Things get real as Rydia decides to use her magic nullifier on the elementalist and his overactive Elemental Bolt spell.  What's a magic nullifier, you ask?  It's her fist.  I figured I was safer trying to beat him down in melee than trying to avoid those damn magic missiles.  In the background, you can see that a worm decided to get in on the action, too.

A lone, wounded infantryman, the last of his brave lanky brethren, battles the worm and ulitmately pushes it back from combat so he can make his getaway.

Meanwhile, the wraith is wandering around the table looking for more victims.  She stops to admire some of Brendan's hard work on the terrain.
One question that came up with the wraith was what happens with a crit since the wraith has life-drain.  Quardruple damage?  We agreed that it didn't really matter since its victim was completely gibbed either way, but maybe we'll see the answer in some errata.

At the end, we had each gotten off the table with three treasures.  I lost a knight and a thief.  Chubbs, my pudgy thug, has a crushed arm (-1F) and my ranger has to miss his next game.
Rydia gained three levels and chose +1F, +1H and +1 to cast Summon Demon.
